Lana Sur: a tribute to the wool of our soil
Lana Sur is an initiative created by El Espartano in 2019 with the aim of promoting the value of Argentine wool. Throughout its three editions -last edition exhibited at Amigos del Bellas Artes-, it gathered more than twenty designers from different disciplines who work with wool and turn it into real design objects. Coats, blankets, decorative pieces and even works of art were some of the elements that were part of the curatorship.

The initiative seeks to raise local appreciation of this fiber and direct the gaze to the brands that use it for their designs. The commitment is to share with the community, not only the aesthetic beauty of wool, but also the functional properties that make it reliable, more resistant, durable and friendly to the planet. The desire is that we can all recognize in it our soil, our culture and our roots, and a generous and kind raw material that accompanies design processes that identify us.

Quality, design and wool: three pillars on which this project is based, whose intersection and coexistence make the essence of Lana Sur. Believing in its value, we continue to explore ways to make it grow together with those who share this vision and respect the journey that this noble fiber goes through from its procurement to its spinning and manufacturing.
