Dezeen Awards 2026: our ROOM collection shortlisted for Textile Design

From more than 4,300 entries submitted from 91 countries, the Dezeen Awards 2026 have announced the shortlists across their Architecture, Interiors and Design categories. ROOM, the collection we presented during this year’s Milan Design Week, has been selected as one of eight finalists in Textile Design, within the Design categories.

Curated by Lidewij Edelkoort, ROOM brings together eleven limited-edition pieces developed with Carole Baijings, Kiki van Eijk, Ina Meijer, Mariola López Mariño and Edelkoort herself. The collection explores different interpretations of the room as an intimate and personal space and was presented in April at Galleria Rossana Orlandi in Milan.

All eleven rugs were produced entirely in Argentina by El Espartano, using 100% wool and the hand-tufting technique. ROOM marked our third consecutive participation in Milan Design Week and continued the work we have been developing with Edelkoort and leading figures in international design.

The selection places ROOM among the eight projects on the Textile Design shortlist. The winners of the Dezeen Awards 2026 will be announced on 16 November, during the awards ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London.

In the meantime, shortlisted projects are taking part in the Dezeen Awards public vote, which is open until 16 October.

If you would like to support ROOM at this stage, we invite you to vote for the collection in the Dezeen Awards.
