The artist Nushi Muntaabski chose textile as the medium to transfer her work El Descanso to a new format. Created in 2015 for the Experta Seguros building, the original work is a site-specific ceramic mosaic that is part of the Pampa Collection.

To exhibit it at the Leo Werthein Foundation, the artist invited us to reinterpret her work in a new textile language. The result is a 100% wool tapestry, 480 x 200 cm, which translates the mosaic into a new materiality. It was woven with hand-tufting technique and elaborated with 21 colors, selected from the palette of the original work.

La artista Nushi Muntaabski eligió el textil como medio para trasladar su obra El Descanso a un nuevo formato. Creada en 2015 para el edificio de Experta Seguros, la obra original es un mosaico cerámico site-specific que forma parte de la Colección Pampa.

Para exhibirla en la Fundación Leo Werthein, la artista nos convocó para reinterpretar su obra en un nuevo lenguaje textil. El resultado es un tapiz de 100% lana, de 480 x 200 cm, que traduce el mosaico a una nueva materialidad. Fue tejido con técnica hand-tufting y elaborado con 21 colores, seleccionados de la paleta de la obra original.
