Ten years after its creation, our first upcycling<\/em> project together with Gaspar Libedinsky<\/strong> returns to the scene with Taken House<\/strong><\/em>the retrospective exhibition of the Argentine artist, architect and curator at the Museo de Arte Decorativo. <\/em> <\/p>\n\n

Among the original and diverse works that were part of the exhibition was Architecture for the Body (<\/em> 2011), a project by the artist that coincided with the beginnings of our Design & Sustainability Lab.<\/em> From the resignification and reuse of surplus material from our Velour line<\/strong>, we developed a special edition of slippers designed by Gaspar<\/em>. Velour’s color palette was perfect for capturing a flock of winged slippers, which emerge from a doormat and leave a bird-shaped void when they leave. <\/p>\n\n

The return of Architecture for the body<\/em> reaffirms the Laboratory’s growth in upcycling<\/em>. Throughout the last 10 years, sustainability has not only remained a guiding idea in our processes, but has also found a way to take root and permeate the different areas of our work. <\/p>\n\n
